Montgomery Township

Officials in Montgomeryville are moving ahead with their plans for the Peco Power Line Trail.   Monday night the township supervisors approved an application for a one-and-a-half million dollar Montgomery County open space grant that would be used to build the twelve-foot wide macadam path between Lower State Road and the Township Municipal Services Building near Hartman Road.   The trail will run three miles almost entirely under Peco power lines and connect most of the green spaces in the community.   The project will require a township match of about $374,000.   Officials hope to see construction start this September and wrap up in about a year.
