Litigation Settled

Lower Gwynedd officials have approved an agreement with the owner of the Spring House Village Shopping Center that clears the way for redeveloping the 16-acres near Bethlehem and Sumneytown Pikes.   The settlement ends five years of litigation and calls for the property owner to build a park on site in conjunction with the township.   Other big changes are also in the works for the shopping center.   Township officials say there will be a new anchor store and only a few of the businesses there now will make the transition.   The owner of the shopping center doesn’t currently have new tenants waiting in the wings but township officials hope the settlement will make it easier to market the property.
