Methacton Swine Flu Cases Found

Two Methacton High School students have been diagnosed with the H1 N1 influenza, commonly known as the swine flu. In a statement on the district website, Superintendent of Schools Timothy Quinn says the disease could be present in other schools, and they have taken several preventive steps.  They include reinforced procedures for cleaning schools and buses, hand sanitizer dispensers in cafeterias, auditoriums and other areas, and nurses teaching students and staff about proper hand-washing, coughing and sneezing techniques.
