A Bucks County woman is accused of stealing nearly $500,000 from the Montgomery County company where she worked.
39-year-old Lanette Sansoni of Warminster was a title clerk at JRS Settlement Services, a Huntingdon Valley real estate settlement company. Prosecutors say she stole the money over a five-year period, using company checks to pay numerous bills for herself, as well as credit card bills for her mother and daughter. They say she used company funds to pay for food, clothing, gas, phones, movies and even her daughter’s tuition at Penn State University. The alleged thefts were discovered after a bank called the company to report that some of its checks were going for credit card bills, and Sansoni apparently destroyed company files in an effort to cover up the thefts.
