Woman Guilty Of Manslaughter In Patricide

An Abington woman who had her boyfriend kill her father one year ago this week has been found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and her boyfriend has been found guilty of third degree murder.

Judge Thomas Branca handed down the convictions Monday in Montgomery County Court following a non-jury trial.  23-year-old Christina Rubin’s lawyer argued that her father, 46-year-old Marc Rubin, had abused her for more than a decade, so she asked 20-year-old Jeffrey Leinheiser to shoot him.  During a degree-of-guilt hearing, Rubin’s attorney played a recording of the father abusing his daughter.
