Man Nailed In Sex Sting Avoids Jail Time

A Quakertown area man who admitted explicitly discussing sex and exposing himself on the internet to investigators posing as teenage girls has been given five years probation.

28-year-old David Arrowood of Richland Township must also undergo sex offender counseling and stay away from any school, day care or playground property, and he is barred from possessing pornography.  He may not be alone with any minors, and he is allowed internet access only at work.  He was sentenced Tuesday in Bucks County Court.  Judge Wallace Bateman told him he avoided jail time only because he did not try to meet with anyone for sexual purposes.  He pleaded guilty earlier this year to unlawful contact with minors and criminal use of a computer.  He was arrested in an undercover sting conducted by the state attorney general’s office late last year and early this year.  Court documents say he conducted his illegal activity using computers both at home and at work.
