Suspect Nabbed In Meat Thefts

Police have arrested a man accused of stealing about $1,000 worth of hams and turkeys from three Bucks county supermarkets. They say tipsters who saw store surveillance camera pictures on TV led them to 43-year-old Anthony Gisondi of Philadelphia.  The meat was stolen from a Giant Food Store on Second Street Pike in Upper Southampton and Acme and Genuardi’s Markets near Street Road and Bustleton Pike in Lower Southampton.  The hams and turkeys have not been recovered, and police believe he sold them.
