Two of five men facing trial for killing a Montgomery Township man in a home-invasion robbery have been granted a separate trial. The three men who entered the home – Joseph Page, Amatadi Latham and Karre Pitts – go on trial January 8. Robert Eatman and Julius Wise, who acted as getaway drivers, lookouts or part of the cleanup crew, go on trial later next year. All five are charged with second and third degree murder in the beating and asphyxiation death of 58-year-old Robert Chae last January at his Gwynmont Drive home. Two others, including the victim’s nephew, 25-year-old Angelo Shin of Montgomery Township, have pleaded guilty to third degree murder and will testify against the others at trial. He admitted helping the other men plan the robbery.
