Two farms in Franconia as well as one in Upper Frederick and another in Upper Hanover will be preserved in perpetuity. The Montgomery County Commissioners Thursday approved their share of the cost of buying the agricultural easements. The county portion totals about $307,000. The state is contributing five times as much. Franconia, Upper Frederick and Upper Hanover Townships are putting up $177,000 to preserve the farms as open space.
