Lewis, Reagan Cabinet Member, Remembered Over The Weekend

There was a full house at the Central Schwenkfelder Church in Worcester on Saturday as friends and family of former United States Transportation Secretary Drew Lewis gathered to remember him.

The one time Reagan Administration official died earlier this month at the age of 84. His oldest son, Rusty, reflected upon his father during the service.

“My father was a lucky man in many respects, having interacted and developing friendships with many people from all walks of life. He made each person feel special and important whether they were a union worker, farmer, a business owner or the President of The United States.”

Lewis was born in Norristown and earned an M.B.A. at Harvard after graduating from Haverford College. Lewis became a self made millionaire and a driving force in Republican party politics at both the state and county level.
