Peters: Experience is Vital To Be State Attorney General

Five candidates have their sights set on winning the race for State Attorney General.

A candidate running on the Republican ticket, Joe Peters, says if you want to hold the office of State Attorney General you have to be ready to deal with the worst criminals who feed off society.

“I was part of the five member team that convicted Philadelphia mafia boss, Little Nicky Scarfo, along with his under boss, Philip Leonetti and about 15 of their capos and soldiers. They wanted to kill me, in part, because I was a prosecutor and because of my Italian heritage. They thought I was selling out. But I knew I was doing the right thing because they have always given Italian Americans a bad reputation with their criminal activities.”

Peters was also a police officer and a chief of police. He worked in the Clinton and Bush Administration’s in drug enforcement. Peters, is currently living in Wyoming County, but he’s native of Scranton. Peters was a guest on WNPV’s Comment Please By Univest Monday afternoon.
