In the race for Pennsylvania Attorney General, Democratic Candidate, Montgomery County Commissioner Chair, Josh Shaprio receives an unexpected endorsement from a Republican who ran in the primary.
Joe Peters, who lost to State Senator John Rafferty, has announced he’s supporting Shapiro to be the next State Attorney General. In a release, Peters credited Shapiro with being innovative and possessing broad legal experience as well as executive experience. Peters, a former Scranton Police Officer, worked in the drug enforcement department in the Clinton and George W. Bush Administrations. Peters was also a Federal prosecutor who helped bring down the Philly mob during the Little Nicky Scarfo era of La Cosa Nostra.
