It’s called “Be A Part of The Conversation.” A North Penn School District effort to for parents on how to have a conversation with their elementary school age children about alcohol and drugs.
Dr Jenna Rufo, Director of Special Education and Student Services says, kids often form opinions from adult behaviors.
“It could be parents having a glass of wine. Some of the questions we’ve gotten from some of the kids in our district is I know that drugs are bad, but my uncle is doing drugs, I don’t think he’s bad.”
Dr Rufo was a guest on WNPV’s Comment Please By Univest Wednesday afternoon. Be A Part of The Conversation is happening at 6:30 tonight at the Educational Services Center in Lansdale on Hancock street.
