North Penn School Board Member Josie Charnock is seeking a second term on the School Board.
Charnock, a Republican says, the current Board has planned ahead to deal with the problems that are being created by the State’s financially troubled pension system.
“In 2011 we created a pension stabilization fund and we’ve put in over the years about 14 million dollars. If we need to use that fund, we can do that, but intention is not to use that fund. We hope that something can be done at the legislative level to try to bring about pension reform.”
Charnock, a guest on WNPV’s AM Edition says, the district’s bill to the state’s pension system next year is 40 million dollars.
