The Towamencin Supervisors have authorized Township staff to prepare a resolution granting final plan approval for a senior living center near Towamencin Avenue and Forty Foot Road in the Village Overlay District.
The building will measure almost 100,000 square feet and offer a full slate of amenities including a beauty salon, a fitness center and an arts and craft studio. Project engineer John Anderson says it will look a lot like the others in the overlay district and blend into the neighborhood.
“The architecture style is very similar to the existing buildings that were built along Towamencin Avenue. Those are three stories with a peaked roof. This 2 1/2 stories and peaked roof, so it will be very similar.”
The facility would create more than 50 full and part time jobs. The developer is hoping to break ground before the end of the summer.
