Lansdale officials are hoping that the second time will be the charm. Borough Council last night voted to re-advertise the bid specifications for single hauler residential trash pickup.
Just last month it rejected the four bids received during the first request for proposals because the Borough solicitor said each of them were fatally flawed. Borough Council Vice President Mary Fuller says she hasn’t decided yet which way she will vote on the issue.
“But I am interested in see what a flawless bid package would look like. I’d rather evaluate the issue with every “T” crossed and “I” dotted.”
Citing questions that still remain about the bid specifications, Council Member Jack Hansen tried to table the motion to re-advertise, but came up short when the vote was called.
