Sheriff’s Dept Suspends Two Deputies in Prisoner Escape

Two deputies in the Bucks County Sheriff’s office will be suspended without pay in connection with a prisoner who escaped Sunday night, June 4th.

The Deputies picked up Daniel Selby on a warrant at Hatfield Twp. Police, but just minutes before arriving at the Bucks County Prison, Selby told them he was sick, when they opened the doors to check on Selby, he allegedly jumped out and fled into nearby woods. He was captured almost two days later. Selby’s escape forced the closure of the Central Bucks School District and a lockdown of schools the following day.
