Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill ruled Monday that pretrial hearings in Bill Cosby’s sex assault case will be held on March 29th and 30th, which will change the starting date of the trial.
Jury selection will now get underway on April 2nd, a date which was in place for the beginning of the trial. Following the selection of the jury, Cosby’s trial will begin. Cosby’s defense team asked for a further delay after Judge O’Neill permitted a prosecution request to allow five women to testify who accuse Cosby of sexually assaulting them in the same way he’s accused of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand inside his Cheltenham Township home in 2004. The defense wanted more time to investigate the five women who claim they were allegedly sexually assaulted by Cosby.
