Governor Wolf Pushes Voting Reforms

Governor Wolf supports a series of voting reforms and stands with the creation of an independent bipartisan commission for legislative redistricting to end one political party’s control over particular areas within a voting map.

Governor Wolf says limits should be placed on contributions to candidates and restrictions should also be put on political action committees.

“Legislation in all of these areas would help end the outside role of campaign spending in our lawmaking process, while also making our citizens know, they are the ones that call the shots in Harrisburg. Rather deep pockets of special interest.”

Governor Wolf also says the legislature should take action to allow citizens to register on election day and vote on election day and allow for no-excuse absentee ballots.
