Two Favorable Rulings For Cosby’s Defense Team

As jury selection continues in Bill Cosby’s sex assault trial in Montgomery County Court, his defense receives a boost after Judge Steven O’Neill rules that Marguerite Jackson can testify for the defense.

Jackson worked with Andrea Constand, who Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting at his Cheltenham Township home in 2004. Jackson will testify that Constand told her she could accuse a celebrity of a sex assault and gain a cash settlement. The Judge also ruled the jury can know the amount Cosby paid Constand in the civil suit she filed against him in 2006, which is believed to be 3.5 million dollars.
