Lawmakers Address Harassment and Sexual Misconduct

State House Republicans announce two proposals which look to address sexual misconduct and harassment in the workplace.

One proposal would create a task force on sexual misconduct and harassment in the workplace. Montgomery County Republican State Rep. Marcy Toepel says the second proposal is for the Joint State Government Commission to study the frequency of harassment in the workplace within state government.

“What they will report to us will include the number of complaints, any disciplinary action taken as a result of those complaints and any complaints that are referred to law enforcement for further action.”

The Pa. House Labor and Industry Committee also plans to hold an April 24th hearing on the issue.
