Mango Calls For Buyouts to Solve Pa’s Pension Problem

Republican gubernatorial candidate Paul Mango says his military and business experience is the right mix to lead the Commonwealth.

Mango says, Pennsylvania’s pension problem is not the fault of those who signed up for it, but previous and current elected officials who failed to fix the problem.

“Just as an example, if someone upon retirement is entitled to 50,000 a year of a pension of 20 years, that’s a million dollars. I’d bet they’d take 600,000 on the spot.”

Mango, a guest on WNPV’s Comment Please By Univest Friday says Pennsylvania needs a growth economy to help remedy the pension problem.
