Officials to Discuss The Canceling of Lansdale’s Car Show

Community leaders in Lansdale are trying to salvage the Under The Lights Car Show for this year.

The Fairmount Fire Company in Lansdale announced last week it was canceling its annual fundraiser because of the construction underway downtown. Mayor Garry Herbert says discussions are still at a preliminary stage, but there will be a larger scale meeting about the car show Tuesday.

“It’s going to be Borough Council President, Fairmount Fire Company, the Vice President, myself, the Chief of Police, the Borough Manager, John Ernst, everyone who needs to be involved to make sure that we can put in together and have another great car show for Lansdale.”

The Car Show is normally held during the evening on the third Saturday in June.
