A 5 to 4 vote brought the announcement of new leadership Pennridge School Board in the areas of President, Vice President and Solicitor.
Board President Christine Yardley and another board member, Ada Miller are resigning on June 19th. There’s no word on the reason for the resignations. Megan Banis-Clemens will move into the roll of President from Vice President. William Krause is the new Vice President. Ryan Cassidy with the Eckert, Seamans, Cherin and Mellot law firm, is the board’s labor lawyer and the new solicitor, but interviews for a permanent solicitor are underway. Rob Cox of the law firm Eastburn and Gray was the previous solicitor. According to records, Cox charged a rate of 145 dollars an hour. The Eckert, Seamans, Cherin and Mellot law firm rate is between 225 and 275 dollars. One of the concerns brought up at the recent school board meeting was fees for legal services.
