The Montgomery County Commissioners have presented their preliminary budget for next year. The spending plan totals almost $372,000,000 and does not call for a property tax hike. It does include funding for all contracted pay hikes as well as 1.5% raises for non-represented county employees. Workers without representation will also be able to earn a bonus for going above and beyond the expectations of their job. The commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget December 12th. Final adoption of the spending plan is set for a week after that.
