During this program, visitors will be able to talk with Sally and Mrs. William Tennent. Not another boring oratory of facts but lively portrayals.
Something for all ages. Interact with legends from our past. “Sally” as the daughter of Benjamin Franklin will tell you stories about her life and little known facts about her famous father. Hear what she calls ‘his secret weapon with women’; his first experiment with a kite – not the famous story; why he briefly became a vegetarian; his air baths, gossip and politics of the day to include what learned men said ‘women only needed to know’. and so much more.
Learn about the Ben’s relationship with William Tennent and about the Tennent House from Mrs. William Tennent. She will tell us about how Princeton University was regarded as a successor to Tennent’s Log College. How a humble man from Scotland, ordained in the church of Ireland was part of the beginning of the “New Awakening”.
A fun day of history at THE FUGE. Sit in the seats where the astronauts trained who went to the moon. A tour is provided after the end of the program.
*Donations accepted to help with the restoration of the Tennent House
