The Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company celebrates its 100th anniversary Saturday. Chief Bob Kaler says that’s a long record of service.
“It’s near and dear to all of our hearts that we have completed 100 years of continuing to serve our community at no cost, volunteering our time to provide fire protection for our citizens and our businesses as a community.”
A parade steps off at 1:00pm at the main station on Market Street and goes to the substation on Fairgrounds Road, where they will have a carnival with games, music and lots of other family fun including fireworks at dusk.
