Main St Manager Sees Progress In Souderton And Telford

neighborhoodSouderton-Telford Main Streets Manager Pam Coleman says revitalization in the two boroughs has gone well over the last ten years, and her organization is working on a new plan for taking it to the next level. “We did a plan ten years ago, we’ve executed it, and we’re in the process of doing another plan for the next seven years.”

She says residents who took a survey said they like living in Souderton and Telford, but they want to see more businesses, and the Broad Theater is a big issue.

“People want to have a movie theater back, so we’re working on finalizing the paperwork, but Main Streets managed to get a half-million-dollar grant for the borough, so it will be loaned to the Broad Theater and they’re working with Univest and putting all the financing in place, and pretty soon they’ll be doing serious renovations in there.”

Coleman says getting the grant for the Broad Theater took two years and a lot of hard work, but they got it done.
