Lansdale officials hope to have more than a thousand people parading through town with candles and other bright objects after the tree lighting the first Friday of December. Borough Council Member Mary Fuller says it will add to the weekend fun along with the Merry Tuba Christmas concert, and it could make the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest human luminary parade. She says the route is still under discussion, but it would probably start and end at Railroad Plaza, where the tree lighting takes place. It would be part of the last First Friday celebration until April.
