Arcadia Publishing Approves Souderton Book

booksSouderton-Telford Main Street Manager Pam Coleman says the Arcadia Publishing Company has approved a new book about Souderton. The Arcadia division that is preparing it specializes in local picture books, and Coleman says they want old photographs.

“We’re asking people over the holidays, when you’re visiting your grandparents and great aunts and uncles, ask to see the old black and white photos.  Look for things that really tell the story of Souderton – things that illustrate the everyday life, the buildings, the people, the life, the businesses that are long gone or that have evolved.”

Coleman says they want pictures from 1969 and earlier, and Souderton-Telford Main Street will schedule search and scan sessions on Saturdays to scan them for the book and return them to their owners on the spot.  She says they want pictures that were not in a book titled “Seeing Souderton” that came out about 30 years ago.
