Souderton 125th Birthday Bash Starts Later This Year

cake_with_candlesSouderton officials are gearing up for their 125th Birthday Party. Souderton-Telford Main Street Manager Pam Coleman says the actual anniversary is next year, but the celebration starts late this year.

“They’re going to kick it off with the Holiday Parade this year and end it with the Holiday Parade in 2012, and during that time they’re going to be partnering with the Concert Sundaes, the National Night Out, the Soap Box Derby, the Univest Grand Prix – all the big things that are going on in our community anyway.”

Coleman says Souderton’s National Night Out, on August 2, will be bigger and better than ever, and it will have a car show for the first time.  She says they will have one or two events specifically for the 125th anniversary, including a summer parade next year, and they will also give existing events an anniversary flavor.  She appeared Monday on the WNPV talk program Indian Valley Live.
