Towamencin officials have received a $1,900 fire prevention grant from FM Global, one of the largest insurers of property in the world. The money will be used to buy database software for fire inspection recording as well as a combustible gas detector. Fire Marshall Kevin Pezzano says he is currently using three different software packages to keep track of things. He also says the technology upgrade could help identify fire trends in different age and job groups. FM Global works with busnesses in 130 countries around the world to protect their operations from fire and natural disasters.
