Lansdale officials have honored almost two dozen borough employees with more than 25 years of service. The brief recognition ceremony near the start of the Council meeting Wednesday night is part of an effort to raise the profile of borough workers in the community. With more than four decades behind him, Electric Department employee John Hawley has more longevity than anyone else that works for the borough. He says it is gratifying to be honored for spending so much of his life as a Lansdale employee. Council also recognized Police Sergeant Dean Miller for his 15 years of educating the youth of the borough about the dangers of drug abuse.
