A proposal in the Upper Moreland School District could have parents paying a fee if they have children that participate in sports and marching band at the middle and high school levels.
Superintendent of The Upper Moreland School District, Robert Milrod calls the potential effort a work in progress. Under a plan that has been designed, 7th and 8th graders playing a school sponsored sport would pay 75 dollars. High school student in a school sponsored sport would be charged 100 dollars. If a student in middle school plays another sport, its an additional 25 dollars. The extra high school charge for participating in an additional sport would be 50 bucks. Milrod says, uniforms have become increasingly costly.
