The North Penn area’s food pantry and cupboard kitchen continues to help a growing list of residents everyday. Manna On Mainstreet’s new and larger facility opened last year. Manna’s Director of Development, Krystin DiDominick says statistics show more people need help.
“We’re seeing our food pantry usage up 30 to 40 percent, when you look at this time last year. In our soup kitchen we're at a 47 percent increase. So the people in this community who are experiencing hunger and we want to feed them. We want to reach out to the community and folks who are listening to WNPV, we need your support in order to do that.”
DiDominick says Manna is also starting to provide job search and financial planning classes to help their clients break the cycle of dependence.
