The excitement is building for Lansdale day. The 36th annual event organized by the North Penn Rotary Club on the first Saturday of June features plenty of music, a craft show, activities for children and lots of other family fun. There is also a little Miss Lansdale Pageant put on by the McQuillin Studio in the Borough. Mayor Andy Szekely crowns the winner. He says Lansdale Day is a great way to showcase the community.
“We close down Main Street from Cannon up to Broad and we have all the different vendors. We have the petting zoo, we have the rotary raffle. So it’s a great way to get people out in town for first real event of the summer.”
Motorists not coming into the Boro for the big event are advised to steer clear of the downtown area.
