The traditional supermarket experience continues to evolve and change. Phil Lempert, an expert in supermarkets says, in 2014 consumers are likely to see some changes at the end of the aisle and cooking inside the market
“You’ll solution centers at the end of an aisle. Where you might see a can of Hunt’s tomatoes, Kraft cheese all packed together with a recipe card, you can just pick it up and bring it home. We’re also seeing our community cooking centers, where our friends are cooking right next to each other.”
LEmpert says, it’s hands on for the consumer, unlike the old model, where a chef or store employee would be there doing the cooking presentation. Lempert was a guest Thursday morning on the AM Edition.
