Governor Tom Corbett was in West Norriton Monday to ceremonially sign the 2.3-billion dollar transportation bill approved by the legislature earlier this month. He praised the state lawmakers on both sides of the aisle that supported the measure. The new law will raise money for highway and bridge repair by raising the cost of a drivers license as well as an automobile registration card. It will also gradually increase the gas tax over the next five years. Corbett held his press conference near the construction site of a new on ramp onto Route 422.
