Domestic Relations Job Fair

dollarMontgomery County Domestic Relations and the workforce development firm EDSI are holding a free job fair Wednesday for unemployed or under-employed parents who owe child support in the county. EDSI Non-Custodial Parents Program Manager Lois Williams says participants should bring several things.

“They should being a good attitude, dress to impress.  They should bring a resume, which we will be more than happy to copy for them or give them a template for one if they don’t have it, but they need to bring a desire to want to do better, and there’ll be somebody here on some level to help them.”

Williams says employers taking part in the job fair, titled Opportunity Knocks, include SEPTA, US Maintenance, King Limousine and JP Mascaro.  Montgomery County Community College will also be there, both as a source of job training and an employer.  She says domestic relations workers will be on hand to discuss child support payments.  The job fair runs from 10:00AM until 2:00PM Wednesday at the domestic relations office on the ground floor of One Montgomery Plaza in Norristown.
