Univest held a Grand Opening Friday and Saturday at its newest branch, in the Hatfield Pointe Shopping Center, across Forty Foot Road from Ralph’s Corner. Executive Vice President Lou Spinelli says customer input was one factor in the design.
“They’ll tell us things, and we’ll certainly listen to their feedback and try to deliver things more quickly to them, for example our account opening process. We want to streamline it so customers can get in and out of the office more easily, and I think we pride ourselves on being able to sit down with clients when they come in and talk about a full menu of services, and they’re able to pick the ones that best suit their lifestyle and their needs. That’s the way we approach the business.”
He says people want to know that a branch they can walk into is nearby, but at the same time online services are growing in popularity, even among the more mature customers.
“A lot of senior customers might think, ‘That’s not for me.’ If you take the time to show them how to use it, they really become hooked on it. People want options, and we want to be able to give them all of the options to do their business.”
Spinelli says the new branch, known as the Lansdale Area Financial Service Center, has one ATM lane, three drive-up lanes, six lobby teller stations including one that is ADA accessible, and a free coin-counting machine.
