The President of the Hepatitis “B” Foundation in Doylestown, Doctor Timothy Block, says he and his wife incorporated the foundation 20 years ago, and they were surprised at the time to find out how many people who had the disease wanted to know more about it. He says they were coming out of the woodwork, but looking back he’s no longer surprised.
“Our tag line is, ‘Someone you know is affected by hepatitis.’ That’s really true. Whenever I talk to a group of more than 10 or 20 people there are people who have been affected by Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C, which is also part of our mission.”
Doctor Block says the Hepatitis “B” Foundation is their life’s mission, it is now the most trusted global portal for information on the disease, and a lot of important research goes on there. He appeared Tuesday on the WNPV talk program Comment Please by Univest, which was broadcast live from the Bucks County Biotechnology Center in Doylestown, where the foundation is located.
