The Hillcrest Shopping Center in Lansdale could have a bowling alley before the end of December. Borough officials say management there has signed a lease agreement with a group of local investors that want to bring the popular pastime back into Lansdale five years after fire destroyed the old Lans Bowl on an adjacent property. Borough Council member Mary Fuller says the new facility could qualify for a break on its electric bill under the Economic Development Incentive Ordinance. She isn't sure just where in the shopping center the new bowling alley would go but points out that the space once occupied by ther Super Fresh grocery store is still vacant.
