Montgomery County officials say there is reason for optimism in their finance office. Chief Financial Officer Uri Monson Thursday told the county commissioners the projected operating deficit for this year is about one-point-seven million dollars. That's less than 20% of the anticipated amount at the start of 2012. All the same, Monson says the county will still need to borrow money through a tax anticipation note to meet expenses at the start of next year.
