Community Night Out and Car Show in Souderton

Hundreds turned out for the Community Night Out and Car Show in Souderton Park on Tuesday.   The family friendly event was sponsored by the Police Departments in Souderton and Telford  as well as the Souderton 125th Anniversary Committee.   It featured a pie eating contest between the firefighters of Souderton and Telford along with a moon bounce for the kids and a dunk tank fundraiser for Souderton Community Pool.   There was also a fly-in by a Jefferson Hospital emergency medical helicopter plus a display of dozens of police cars, firetrucks and other emergency vehicles.   Many attending the Night Out brought a non-perishable food item for the Keystone Opportunity Center, a non-profit group on Main Street in Souderton that helps the needy of the Indian Valley.
