The new Route 202 Parkway is open. It connects Welsh Road near Lansdale with Route 611 outside of Doylestown.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on the Parkway at Detweiler Road in Warrington Township Monday. State Secretary of Transportation Barry Schoch and Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley were among the featured speakers. The Parkway is almost eight-and-a-half miles long with four lanes between Welsh and Horsham Roads in Montgomery County and two lanes for the rest of the stretch that ends near Doylestown. The speed limit is 40 miles-per-hour.
