Upper Gwynedd Ready to Award Sewer Replacement Contract
Upper Gwynedd officials are moving ahead with a construction project. The township commissioners next Monday will award a contract worth almost $500,000 for the replacement of a sanitary sewer line that runs between Sumneytown Pike and the SEPTA commuter rail line. The project will increase the efficiency of the line by removing bends and elbows that restrict flow. Construction will take place in an existing easement that runs through private property and parallels a branch of Wissahickon Creek called Haines Run so there will be no impact on traffic.
