A Doylestown man is accused of holding a woman down on a bed, choking her, pulling her hair and stabbing her in the leg, apparently because he wanted to have sex with her. Police Chief James Donnelly says she did not submit, and she escaped after the landlord heard her screaming and came to the door. 46-year-old Thomas Cox is charged with assault and other offenses. The alleged incident happened Tuesday morning in his North Street apartment. The woman drove herself to a hospital for treatment of scrapes, bruises and a minor stab wound.
