A Montgomery County lawyer is accused of stealing more than a half-million dollars from an elderly client. 63-year-old Frank Morgan is charged with theft and related offenses. He lives in West Chester and is a partner in a Norristown law firm. Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett says a grand jury found that 90-year-old Rita Trish, who lived in a Gladwyne assisted living facility, gave him power of attorney in 2006, three weeks after her husband died. She also made him executor of her estate. She died in January of 2007 at the age of 91. The grand jury found that he stole nearly $555,000 dollars in all, about half before her death and about half after her death. It found that he put the bulk of the money into his own bank accounts, and used about $120,000 to refinance his vacation home on the North Carolina shore.
