A Former Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Enforcement Officer has admitted extorting money from local bars and restaurants in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. A federal grand jury indictment says 35-year-old Gina Marie Kepler, formerly of Warrington, pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Philadelphia, halfway through her trial. During the first three days, more than a dozen witnesses testified about the many excuses she gave for not repaying money she owed to nine bar owners. Prosecutors say she took money from the owners of Bobby’s Burger Tavern in Conshohocken, the Bridgeport Rib House, the Perkiomen Café in Oaks, Jerzee’s Sports Bar in Glenside, the Chill Bar and Johnny Apples Restaurant in Holland, Maggio’s and Kenny’s Spirited Eatery in Southampton and the Langhorne Hotel. They say she got the money in a number of different ways, taking advantage of her clout as a liquor enforcement officer.
