Robert Chae Murder Case

wnpv_police_beatTestimony could start Monday at the Courthouse in Norristown in the case of the lone man awaiting trial for his alleged role in the murder of Montgomery Township businessman Robert Chae almost 18-months ago.   34-year-old Julius Wise of Philadelphia is getting an out-of-town jury because news coverage of the trial of the other suspects could prevent a fair shake for him in court.   Selection of the twelve member panel wrapped up in Scranton on Friday.   The jury will arrive in Norristown on Sunday and will be sequestered at a hotel for the duration of the trial.   Chae was killed during a home invasion at his Gwynmont Drive residence.   Wise faces a laundry list of charges including 2nd and 3rd degree murder.   Two other suspects were convicted of the crime in a trial earlier this year and are serving life in prison.
